According to ancient bible days; A covenant is a solemn blood sealed agreement between parties, that is made binding by an oath. Most of the covenants that God made with His people are blood covenants.

A covenant defines each party involved and their position in the covenant relationship. It gives the details and terms of who or what each party will be to the other, and then comes the seal of the covenant which is usually blood. A covenant establishes and regulates a binding relationship between parties.

Covenants are born out of a need. God instituted covenants to establish His purposes in His chosen ones, with ease and without obstruction. A covenant is a vehicle that moves a person into the agenda of God; thereby bringing the perfect will of God into play in ones life.

People usually seek covenant relationships so as to accelerate their destinies. Covenants are usually made when a person or group of persons want to accomplish what they believe will improve their lives and make their destinies outstanding. God makes covenants so that He can partner with a person or a people so that He can make their destinies outstanding.

In covenants there is usually a stronger party and a weaker party. The stronger carries the weaker, protects him and fights his battles, (the weaker also has a stipulated service that he carries out for the stronger).

A covenant is a mutually binding, mutually beneficial relationship. Covenants exchange persons.

Covenant means alliance. A covenant is an alliance; two parties coming together as allies, (to fight the common enemy) to stand as a formidable force. To align is to become one. Covenant parties are bound as one in covenant. In a covenant there is a fusion of identities.

Covenants are sacred and are very important to God. He does not take them lightly, nor does He make them loosely. Covenants are binding.

God moves in the lives of His elect by covenants. Covenants are used by God to safeguard His inheritance and to ensure and assure His expected end for them.

Covenants are spiritual. Covenants are spiritual relationships. A covenant is a walk of solid agreement. A covenant is a relationship of commitment. A covenant is a relationship of responsibilities.

Covenants ensure focus. A man who walks by covenant is a man focused on the fulfilment of his destiny. Covenants are destiny establishers. A man who walks by covenants has his destiny facilitated. God carries His people on eagle’s wings through covenants.

Covenants are supernatural enablers. A covenant is an exchange of strengths. A covenant ensures that you have what you need to take you where you need to be. Covenants carry the unction of ease. Excellence in life and ministry is made easy through covenants.

A covenant is spiritually binding. Covenants have spiritually authoritative voices, they speak over lives, over situations, over circumstances. God hates covenant breakers. Covenants are not meant to be broken. A covenant is a sealed promise.

There is always a blessing, a benefit, attached to the upholding of covenants… while there is a curse or an adverse effect attached to the breaking of it. Covenants are not meant to be broken. Blood covenants are not easily broken, they run very deep. Breaking blood covenants may leave deep wounds and unbecoming scars.

Covenants transcend time. Covenants speak over and through time. Once a covenant is activated – it speaks, regardless of belief, of doubt or of faith. Covenants can also be renewed for intensity.

The secrets for successful and victorious living are locked up in God’s covenants. Covenants with God come through knowing Him, loving Him and having a sure and meaningful relationship with Him. A covenant walk with God is a deep relationship walk with Him, reserved for those who fear Him.

A man who walks with God in covenants enjoys the deep things of God. A covenant walk with God opens one up to the secret things of creation and enables one to identify and walk on the path of destiny fulfilment with sweat less triumph.

There are diverse covenants for different areas of life. When God walks with a man by covenants, that man is an untouchable. When God relates with a man by covenant, that man is an overcomer. A covenant walk is a wise walk, it is a victorious walk. A covenant walk is the walk of an overcomer.

Do not be quick to make a covenant, do not be quick to break a covenant.
